Jamilu Hashimu Babba hails from Suleja Local Government in Niger State. He was educated at FCT College of Education Zuba, Abuja, and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where he obtained a Nigeria Certificate in Education in Hausa Language and a B.Ed in Hausa Language.

He has taught Hausa for many years and teaches at Command Secondary School Suleja, an affiliate of the Nigerian Army Education Corps. He is a member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
